My Stack Box Delivers Storage And Moving Solutions To Family Estate Heirs In Delray Beach, Florida

Couple on the Beach

Lydia and Kent call South Florida their home during the winter months and Asheville, North Carolina their summer retreat. The two have a house in Delray Beach that they live in from Thanksgiving through Easter every year and a ranch home in Asheville, that they reside in the rest of the time. Their son Max, a music professor at a university in Colorado, periodically spends time with them in both Florida and North Carolina. Both native New Yorkers, Lydia and Kent moved to Delray Beach a decade ago to be close to her ailing father, Dominic, who lived in nearby Boca Raton. An only child, Lydia felt it best to be close to her widowed father, who was approaching 77, when they moved to South Florida from Long Beach, New York in 2013. After a fall on the golf course in September 2022, Dominic’s health had been deteriorating. He died several months later in December.

Piano

Dominic, who was a studio musician and piano player for decades, left his entire estate to Lydia, Max and Kent. With no need for a second home, just miles away from their current residence and Max not wanting to move to South Florida for any period of time, Lydia and Kent decided to put her late father’s Boca Raton home up for sale. However, they were left the task of deciding what to do with many cherished items in Dominic’s home, including a Steinway baby grand piano, sports memorabilia and antique Shaker furniture. The realtor selling Dominic’s home suggested that Lydia and Kent move the items into storage containers to make the home “more accessible for selling.” This also gave Lydia and Kent some time to decide what they wanted to do with her late father’s belongings.

The next day, Lydia saw a My Stack Box personal storage container being delivered to a neighbor on her street and contacted My Stack Box. “I was amazed at the many features My Stack Box has compared to other storage containers and the fact that each container has dual entry doors at both ends, making it the perfect choice for housing our Steinway piano,” noted Lydia. We needed two containers to store the many items that we wanted to keep from my dad’s home and once everything was packed up, Edwin the My Stack Box driver was there to pick up our containers and take them to the company’s storage area. We then hired an estate cleanout company to clear out the remaining items in the house,” added Lydia.

Boxes ready to be packed

After two weeks on the market, Dominic’s Boca Raton home was sold. Max took possession of his grandfather’s sports memorabilia collection. Lydia and Kent decided that the piano and Shaker furniture would fit in best at their Asheville home and were pleased to learn that My Stack Box could transport and move their valuables to North Carolina. “Everything arrived perfect and intact. We’re so happy we found My Stack Box to resolve both our storage and moving concerns,” concluded Lydia.
